To the Poet,

Let me tell you his story
Tell you what I love about it
Let me try to convince you it’s not everything
I’ve been waiting for
And tell me, my confidante, my closest friend
“This is everything you’ve ever wanted
It’s time to jump”

I need to hear someone say it,
To tell me this is it
That it’s everything I’ve ever wanted
And it’s him

Tell me it won’t get any better than this
Tell me there’s no one else
Tell me that you know my heart is his
And I’ll jump
