One Last Time

To the Poet,

Pushing pushing pushing so I see you all one last time

Because you all need one last piece of me

To hold on to forever

So I am not allowed my own peace, you see

It wouldn’t work if you didn’t get just one last time

And regardless it’s my sacrifice

All of the pieces of me will be left forever with you

Forever in memories and always with everything you do

My puzzle unites you all one by one

As in human form I have always done

Keep the pieces of me so very close

Remember that helping you was what I loved the absolute most

And though I felt my purpose was to change the world,

Believe me I did, I changed hearts and lives forever

Keep the pieces of me so very close

Because I was here so you knew raw, real, love and loss

Because it wasn’t about what I did in physical form

It’s about how empty the world feels without me

Because I needed you to help me fill it up

You see I could never do it on my own.

I spread myself into every life, so we all could do it together

You are all here because there is a part of me that touched you
